Meet Auburn football’s 2024 incoming transfer class (so far)

The Tigers have landed eight FBS transfers to boost the roster, including several guys who could compete for starting jobs right away.

 

Auburn football’s offseason has been one of significant transition, and that’s still ongoing as we hit the middle of January and the start of winter workouts.

 

 

Hugh Freeze has yet to announce the hires of his two new coordinators following the departures of both Philip Montgomery and Ron Roberts in recent weeks. The Tigers have also been impacted by resignations of position coaches Cadillac Williams and Zac Etheridge, with the program also officially confirming the arrival of veteran assistant and ace recruiter Charles Kelly as co-defensive coordinator.

 

During all this change, Auburn signed the nation’s No. 7 recruiting class for the 2024 cycle — one that could be joined by 5-star receiver and Tigers legacy Ryan Williams, who announced his de-commitment following the retirement of Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Freeze has made it clear that he prefers to build Auburn’s roster with high school recruiting, and he prioritized locking down those signings over hitting the transfer portal as hard in December.
