Despite a three-point home loss to No. 20 Michigan on Sunday, Ohio State remains on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bubble, according to projections out less than a month away from Selection Sunday.
Ohio State will finish off a three-game homestand Thursday night when it hosts Northwestern before making its first-ever West Coast trip for Big Ten play. The Buckeyes will face UCLA on Sunday and USC on Wednesday before returning home for a senior day game against Nebraska on March 4.
The Wildcats are No. 62 in the NCAA’s NET rankings, making Wednesday’s game a Quad 2 opportunity for the Buckeyes.
“That is a big game and it is meaningful,” Ohio State coach Jake Diebler said of Northwestern after the loss to Michigan. “Our guys, we have some goals in front of us that we can still achieve. We’ve earned that. Northwestern’s got to get our best shot.”
Here is where the Buckeyes stand in the latest NCAA Tournament projections after Sunday’s loss to Michigan:
