Alicia Tournebize Set for Her South Carolina Debut

Alicia Tournebize is set to make her South Carolina debut against Texas after Dawn Staley confirmed the freshman forward would see her first college minutes.

The 6-foot-7 forward joined the Gamecocks from France and had already begun practicing with the team before the matchup. Staley said Tournebize had looked good in practice and was ready to get on the court. 

Tournebize gives South Carolina additional size and versatility in the frontcourt, with experience playing professionally in France and internationally for the French youth national team. 

Her first appearance against Texas marked an important moment as she began her college career in a major matchup for the Gamecocks.
