New York Mets infielder Jose Iglesias has showcased his talents on the field this season, but he gave fans a look at his off-field talents on Friday.

After the Mets’ 7-2 win over the Houston Astros, Iglesias performed his new song, “OMG” for the fans at Citi Field, and the crowd and his teammates appeared to love it.

The song, which he released under the stage name Candelita following the performance on Friday, has already proved to be a success less than 24 hours later, rising to the No. 1 Latin song on iTunes.

“OMG” is Iglesias’ sixth released song, as he released a pair of singles in 2023 and has released three other songs this year, one of which debuted earlier in June.
