TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita has been named to the Top 25 for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, as announced today by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Education Foundation and presenting partner A.O Smith.
Fifita joins the nation’s 25 best quarterbacks for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award presented by A.O. Smith. It marks his first appearance among the 25 candidates for one of the most prestigious awards for a quarterback in FBS.
The Golden Arm Award annually recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class. The semifinalists, finalists, and award recipient are selected by the distinguished Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, and former players. Candidates are chosen based on player performance on and off the field.
Fifita has thrown seven touchdowns and completed 61.0% of his passes while averaging 272.2 passing yards per game (career high). He threw a 78-yard touchdown pass against New Mexico marking the 15th longest in FBS during the 2024 season.
The Huntington Beach, California redshirt sophomore holds the top career completion percentage among Arizona quarterbacks (68.0%).
