Sanders as the Seminoles’ head football coach, but according to one of Coach Prime’s former Jackson State recruits and current New England Patriots CB Isaiah Bolden, the offer was rescinded at the last second.

“I need to give that athletic Director at (CU Buffs Football) some kind of award he got balls. When (Arkansas), (Florida State) turn down Deion Sanders he gave that man an opportunity. GOD IS GOOD,” Luther Luke Campbell tweeted, to which Bolden replied, “TRUTH! What could of been at FSU. Took the offer away legit last minute smh no bs.”

Sanders to FSU has been a hot rumor amidst a 1-9 collapse for Mike Norvell’s program during the 2024 season. Coach Prime has also been linked to the Dallas Cowboys, though former NFL MVP and Heisman winner Cam Newton claimed on November 15 that Tallahassee would’ve been the better fit.

“What is a good look, I do believe, for Prime is Florida State University. It makes the most sense because not only would you have more time to build a foundation, you have more resources than, respectfully, Colorado,” Newton said (h/t On SI). “I’m looking at one coach that stands out at Florida State that he could potentially be and build a legacy – Bobby Bowden. I don’t think he would have the same timeframe in Dallas.”
