Breaking: Miami hurricanes landed 5-star WR locked in with full commitment welcome to hurricanes…
Miami quarterback Cam Ward is becoming one of the biggest names in college football after leading the Hurricanes to a 9-1 start and cementing himself in the Heisman Trophy race as the regular season draws to a close.
Ward’s transfer from Washington State in the offseason has ended up as a program-changing move for third-year head coach Mario Cristobal, who went 12-13 in his first two seasons at the helm.
An unranked recruit out of West Columbia, Texas, Ward got his collegiate start with Incarnate Word in the FCS. After two highly productive seasons, Ward transferred to the Cougars.
Ward passed for 6,968 yards with 48 touchdowns to 16 interceptions in two years at Washington State. He also added another 202 yards with 13 touchdowns on the ground.
As great as his numbers were at his previous destinations, Ward is playing at a different level as a Hurricane. In fact, the 6-foot-2, 223-pound passer could solidify his name at the top of college football record books before it’s all said and done.
