Breaking news:.Darvin Adams set is return back to AUBURN with his full commitment reason for…

AUBURN, Alabama–Throughout its football history Auburn has been a program that has had success with players who weren’t highly ranked coming out of high school. From players like Dontarrious Thomas and Spencer Johnson early in the 2000’s to safety Daniel Thomas recently, the Tigers continue to be a program where dreams can become a reality for a player looking to prove he is worthy of playing in the Southeastern Conference and even into the National Football League.

Here’s a look at some of the top recruiting success stories for the Auburn Tigers in the last 20 years beginning with wide receiver Darvin Adams.

A lightly-recruited player out of Kennesaw, Georgia, Adams got some playing time as a true freshman for the Tigers before having a breakout year under first-year offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. In 2009 he had one of the best seasons even for an Auburn receiver with 60 catches for 997 yards and 10 touchdowns. Helping Auburn to the national title a year later, Adams caught 52 passes for 963 yards and seven scores in 2010. He went on to a very successful career in the CFL.
