The bye week is a good time to reset, to relax a little, and to really take stock of things before conference play begins.

Alabama, ranked No. 4 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls, is 3-0. The Crimson Tide have beaten Western Kentucky (63-0), South Florida (42-16), and Wisconsin (42-10).

The offense is averaging 466.7 yards and 49 points per game, which rank 26th and 7th nationally, respectively. The defense is allowing 248 yards

GG seemed to be in a good mood.

“For the most part, we still have a few cupcakes on the schedule and even some conference games seem to be cut and dried,” he said. “There wasn’t a lot of discussion.

“Not to say that we didn’t have to work hard on some of them. Tennessee seems to be a lot better than may have been expected in the preseason, Oklahoma maybe a little less than at midseason form. But it’s the first SEC game for Oklahoma and it is in Norman, so there was a lot of thought on that one.
