GOOD NEW’S: Former Alabama Football Heisman ,Derrick Henry He’s Back Announcing Rejoining The Team With Full Commitment…

Former Alabama Football Heisman Trophy winning running back Derrick Henry kicked off the 2024 NFL season and his debut with the Baltimore Ravens by scoring the season’s first touchdown on Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Henry signed with the Ravens this offseason after eight years and over 9500 rushing yards as a member of the Tennessee Titans. Henry signed a 2-year, $16 million contract with the Ravens as he hopes to provide the missing piece to Baltimore’s Super Bowl puzzle.

Henry carried the ball five times on the Ravens opening drive for 17-yards. His fifth carry, he powered through the Chiefs defense for a five-yard touchdown.

Henry has put together an illustrious, and potentially Hall-of-Fame worthy, NFL career after his three seasons with Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Henry was a 2nd round pick by the Titans, and is a two-time NFL rushing champion, leading the league in rushing in 2019 and 2020. In his final season with the Titans in 2023, Henry led the NFL with 280 attempts and put together his fifth season of over 1000 rushing yards.

Despite consistently being one of the top running backs in the NFL since his debut in 2016, there’s plenty of doubters about whether Henry has lost a step. He turns 31 in January, and typically being on the wrong side of 30 is a death-sentence for NFL running backs. Henry’s incredible physical ability and work ethic continues to be on display as he looks to repel Father Time and remain among the elite running backs in the NFL.
