sad news ; Sam Hartman announce his departure from Commanders after sustaining head injury….
Former Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman did not make the 53 man roster of the NFL’s Washington Commanders, according to Athlon Sports and Sports Illustrated.
Hartman signed as a free agent with the Commanders after he went undrafted following last season as the starting quarterback for Notre Dame
Today is the day all NFL teams have to reduce their rosters to 53 players, and most teams only keep two quarterbacks.
The Commanders drafted LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NFL draft, and they also have veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota on their roster.
It was a long shot that Hartman would make the team, but he still has a chance to be picked up by another team or he could be chosen for the Commanders’ practice squad.
