Unbelievable:Big 12 annoying an  fired Deion Sanders from Colorado  his off….

The University of Colorado gave an unusual discretionary bonus of $250,000 to football coach Deion Sanders late last year for the national recognition the university received during Sanders’ first year on the job, according to records obtained by USA TODAY Sports.

The bonus hasn’t been made public until now and was unusual for at least a couple of reasons:

Sanders to earn an Employee Recognition Bonus for the national recognition he has brought to the University and Athletics Department this season,” states the pay form signed by CU officials in early December.

Not many major college football coaches, if any, get huge bonuses that aren’t spelled out in their contracts or after they lose eight of their final nine games of the season. But the university could make the case that Sanders, 56, deserved it.

Which second-year coach do fans expect to win the most games this upcoming season?

Matt Rhule, Nebraska: He led the Huskers to five wins in year one, but ended 2023 on a four-game losing streak. However, this year’s schedule is favorable, especially the first six contests.

Deion Sanders, Colorado: Coach Prime got off to a 4-2 start, and tripled the Buffs win total from the year prior, but lost his final six games. Colorado has more depth now. However, the schedule is brutal.

Kenny Dillingham, Arizona State: The Sun Devils are coming off back-to-back 3-9 campaigns. Dillingham won two conferences games last year. Now the team is more familiar with his system.

Scott Satterfield, Cincinnati: The Bearcats lost nine games in 2023, which was the most in the program since 1998. Satterfield’s squad is experienced this time around, and they’re more familiar with Big 12.

Luke Fickell, Wisconsin: The Badgers are coming off back-to-back 7-6 campaigns. Wisconsin did play better in the final three games. Now Fickell has everything in place to make strides in year two.
